  • 0302-005C. A rare early look at the Beverly Hills Witch House (aka the Spadena House) shortly after being moved from Culver City to Beverly Hills. In this image you can see the moat has recently been dug and the landscape is still quite bare. A wonderful look at one of the best examples of storybook architecture ever constructed. The home is still lovingly cared for and a popular photo stop.

A very old North Portland house built before water and sewer connections were available in the area. The tower on the side of the building is a combination windmill and water tower. The windmill operated a pump that brought underground water up to the tank. Next to it is the outhouse. Two addresses are visible on the front of the house, resulting from the 1933 Portland street renumbering. The house is on N. Clackamas on the nw corner of Crosby. The photo was taken April 9, 1952.

  • XXX-00001. The Starlite Drive In, located in South El Monte, California was designed by the architectural team of William and Clifford Balch. The single screen theatre opened to the public in 1950.
