9107-10. Cottages dot the terrace overlooking Nye Beach. In the foreground is the A. L. Thomas residence, built in 1910-1911. In 1912, the Nicolai Hotel was built in the area behind it. The camera position is on the south cliff overlooking what is now the Nye Beach loop, and pointed north. The area in the foreground is now the site of the Nye Beach Hotel. Yaquina Head lighthouse in the background.
