First Harley Davidson in Portland Oregon 1915

9409-01. Harley Davidson 1915. The Motorcycle & Supply Company had just received the first Harley Davidson Cycle Truck to reach Portland. The three-wheeled vehicle was advertised as being so powerful that it could carry more freight than its own weight. It is shown in front of the Oregon Journal headquarters in the Jackson Tower building on the southeast corner of SW Broadway at Yamhill, Portland. The Portland Hotel, presently the site of Pioneer Courthouse Square, is on the left in the background. January 22, 1915.. see January 24, 1915, page 3, col. 2-3
