The Stile was a resort on the Deschutes river, with cabins, general store and gas station located 16 miles east of The Dalles, Oregon. Photographer Everett Olmstead of the Elite Studio took this picture after he established his studio in The Dalles in 1932. He made post cards from this negative, which were sold at the Stile's gas station.
