• 0904-B01. "Elvah Reck in front of Willamette Falls Railway Station, June 5, 1909" (letter from Chassa 1/2014: "This station was actually in what is now West Linn. The West Linn side was called Oregon City before the city was incorporated, but it wasn't Oregon City. The station sat at the West Linn end of the old wood suspension bridge to Oregon City and ran from there to the town of Willamette Falls, now the Town of Willamette Falls Historic District. This view is of the south side of the station. The tracks ran east and west on the north side of the station. The trolley eventually ran to the south edge of Lake Oswego. River Road in West Linn is the old trolley bed. It loaded logs out of the Willamette, just south of Rodgers Park, that had started out in Tillamook and were dumped into the river in the area of Oswego Point. Southern Pacific refused direct transfers to the trolley line cars. The logs fed the paper mill at the falls.")

 • XXX-00001. The Starlite Drive In, located in South El Monte, California was designed by the architectural team of William and Clifford Balch. The single screen theatre opened to the public in 1950.
The Starlite was one of many Southern California theatres that flourished during the golden years of the drive in theatre. The drive in was so popular in California that the number of theatres grew from roughly 44 in 1948 to 180 in 1958.
(Environmental Cleanup Site Information ECSI #966) If you google this address, it drops a pin directly on a rail line at the point where it bends slightly east and ends. The end of the rail is directly in the center of the Nudelman junkyard. Stanford J. Nudelman owned a scrap metal business at 3210 SW 2nd through 1965. I do not own the 1966 directory, but I found a classified ad in the May 19, 1966 Oregonian advertising to hire a truck driver placed by S. J. Nudelman at 2707 NW Nela. In 1967 he is listed at 2702 NW Nela and is listed there in directories and phone books through 2010. Nudelman is still in business today at the same address and phone number.
